Let's face it, Matthew Stafford is a Ram now.

And he has a lot of weapons, a lot. Matthew Stafford is easily one of the most underrated QBs in the league, and in my opinion, was held back by the awful Lions. Now with a strong playoff fit team and no Jared Goff insight, the Rams are looking very strong. anyways let’s start with Stafford’s top targets that you can expect to gain yards this season.

5 — Himself

With his career passing yard record of 45,109. Stafford is expected to launch some long ones with his cannon, of course, it wouldn't mean anything without receivers… Right?

4— Cooper Kupp

Cooper Kupp is one of Stafford's quickest receivers he’ll be able to throw to. With a slow 2020 season, Kupp was injured But is now ready to return with the new Rams QB.

3 — Cam Akers

With an epic but late rookie season, Cam Akers has power, speed, and is sure to be a great swing pass weapon for Stafford. Especially with Stafford's veteran experience and field scanning.

2— Tyler Higbee

The Rams pro-TE has a lot of work cut out for himself next season… Blocking, running routes, but most of all catching a Stafford bullet pass. Yep, expect lots of big plays from big n’ tall.

1 — Robert Woods

525 REC, 6,521 YARDs, and 31 TDs. Last season Robert Woods scored 6 TDs, not nearly his potential. Could this be another Megatron-like target for Stafford? After all, woods is pretty quick on his feet.

Look out for Woods and the rest this season. Now let's get to it.

Why Stafford will dominate with the Rams.

Matthew Stafford is an all-pro QB and has one of the strongest arms in the league. “I'm Matthew Stafford, and I can throw a football 75 yards…” Stafford said in an interview. And we have seen his power as a QB in Detroit, from his hay days with Johnson to a Kenny Golladay TD… The Leauge was impressed, and now he has all the tools he was missing in Detroit, with the Rams.

Defense.

The 2020 Rams defense was ranked 8th, and the defensive line was ranked in the top 10. Sadly, the 2020 Lions defense was ranked 26th out of the 32 teams in the NFL. In my strongest opinion, Matthew Stafford was playing decent offense in Detroit. And every time he did something great, the Lions defense would fail (at least in 2020). Now, with a clean new defense, I'm sure Stafford will be able to walk onto the field with the peace of mind that his defense is there and they are going to help.

O-line

Make way for the real men! The 2020 Rams offensive line was ranked 3rd and is definitely an upgrade for Stafford. A lot of the time when I was watching Stafford, he was out of the pocket. I think we can all agree he is not Lamar Jackson so why was he out of the pocket? Well, a few handfuls of times…The Lion’s offensive line (Rank 13th) had not done the best job. Stafford was sacked 38 times in the 2020 season, Goff was sacked 23 times in the 2020 season. I understand that's not the biggest improvement, after all, one sack is too many, but I think things will certainly change with Stafford behind the wheel of the Rams offense.

Coach

You know em’, you love em’, he’s been to a Superbowl. Sean ‘boy’ McVay is definitely a huge improvement from the dumpster fire Lion’s coaching staff. Compared to Matt Patrica and Darell Bevell, come on! How can anyone say Stafford and a fair last few seasons with the Lions? Problem after problem in Detroit, but jackpot after jackpot in Los Angles. I am sure Sean McVay will show Stafford the way things roll LA style.

Thanks.
